5. Settings
5.1 Air volume
The air volume is set using the two ball valves (7). With the right ball valve, the air volume for the right hose nipple
is set using the float (8).
The ball valves influence each other when setting the air volume. The maximum air volume of both outlets is approx.
200 l/min.
The float has a precision of 4%.
5.2 Blower cooling
The Airstream ST (230 V) uses a linear piston pump to generate compressed air. The compressed air produced
is also used to cool the pump. If the pump is operated with a small volume of air (<120 L/min) over an extended
period, the pump's temperature protection function may be activated. The pump then switches off. Following a
cooling period of several minutes, the pump will then restart.
The following instructions should be taken into account when operating the pump:
•
If the Airstream ST is operated for less than one hour, no additional measures are required.
•
If the Airstream ST is in continuous use and less than 120 L/min of air is supplied at the right-hand
con-nection, the left-hand connection should be fully opened. To reduce noise levels, a silencer (art.
no 143.753) is provided. The silencer is connected to the nipple with the hose provided. The air that
escapes from the silencer reaches a temperature of approx. 70–75 °C over time.
• If two units are used, the left-hand unit should be operated with as much air as possible.
