Correct area for installation (verify the standard applied in UK) (Fig. 1)
The particular conditions of vulnerability to which it is subject the person located in the bathroom lead to consider this environment, from the
electrical point of view, the most dangerous in the apartment. Depending on the hazard, in bathrooms and shower rooms there are four areas (see
pic. 1) which can determine the selection of criteria and installation of components and users:
Zone
Definition
0
Corresponds to the volume inside the bath or shower.
1
It consists of the volume delimited by the surface which
extends vertically from the bathtub or shower-tray
up to a horizontal level situated at 2.25 m above the
floor. The zone 1 also extends beneath the bathtub.
2
It corresponds to the volume surrounding zone
1 which develops vertically, in parallel and at a
horizontal distance of 0.6 m from zone 1, up to
a height of 2.25 m from the floor level.
3
Volume delimited by the vertical surface that can
extend horizontally next to the zone 2 to 2.4 m and
vertically up to a height from floor level of 2.25 m.
WARNING
•
Please refer to the electric resistances recommended for sizing. It is allowed to
choose a smaller size resistance but NEVER a bigger resistance than the ones
specified. This choice will automatically VOID the warranty.
•
It is recommended to use electrical components (resistances and thermostats)
illustrated in Deltacalor catalogue.
WARNING - The ignition of the heating element to any one of the four
configurations illustrated requires as prerequisite the presence in the radiator, which
is connected to the heating system, of the heat transfer fluid and that one of the
valves is open (recommended holder valve closed and other valve open).
