Leave it for 24 hours after gluing before testing the whole installation for pressure. Before performing the pressure
test, remove the caps closing the outlets.
The valve turns anticlockwise looking from above.
4. START-UP
Before applying pressure to the valve, carry out the following operations:
Loosen the nut of the band until it comes out of the valve and pull the cover upwards.
Check that the caps are correctly positioned and open at least 2 (see fig. 4).
Reassemble the cover with the corresponding band.
Assemble the "T" of the pressure gauge and screw the pressure gauge with the Teflon.
Once the pump has been started up, open the purge to let the air out from inside the valve.
5. OPERATION
To check that everything is working properly, the pressure gauge incorporated in the distributor valve should indicate
between 0.5 and 1.5 bars and when the branch is changed, pressure reduce.
The optimum working flow is between 8 and 25 m
The operation time will depend on the flow and the number of nozzles per branch. One cycle could take between
1 hr 50 min to 3 hr 30 min.
6. MAINTENANCE
Maintenance work should be carried out on the valve once a year, usually at the start of the bathing season. Clean
the inside, removing remains of lime which may be deposited. Make sure that water does not remain inside the
valve during winter, as it could freeze and damage the mechanism.
To clean the valve or replace any of its components, follow the dismantling process:
6.1.- Removing the cover
Loosen the ring nut until the ring comes out of the valve and pull the cover upwards.
6.2.- Removing the base plate
Once the cover is removed, the whole base plate unit will be uncovered, with its axles, gears and runners. To
remove it from the connection body, simply remove the central axle pin using a small screw driver, and pull
the base plate upwards.
After removing the base plate, the turbine is uncovered, and should also be pulled upwards.
6.3.- Removing the caps
Only remove the caps if they are very worn. Put it in the open position and place a large screwdriver between
the holes and lever out the bayonet anticlockwise.
The assembly process is performed in the reverse manner.
