INSTRUCTIONS for
CHAIN
CONTAINER KITS
HLK-K749-20, HLK-K749-40,
HLK-K750-20 and HLK-K750-40
For Use on Series HLK Hoists
READ THIS INSTRUCTION
BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT. This
instruction sheet contains important
installation information. Make this infor-
mation available to all persons responsi-
ble for the operation, installation and
maintenance of the product.
• Disconnect the hoist from the air supply before
installing a chain container kit.
• Never use a chain container without the balance
chain.
• Always use self-locking stop nuts on the bolts that
attach the chain container to the hoist.
1. Position the mounting bracket (301) between the
bosses at the bottom of the hoist adjacent to the
chain opening.
2. Insert two of the bracket bolts (302) through the
mounting bracket and the bosses with the head of
each bolt against the bracket.
3. Install a washer (304) and bracket nut (303) on each
of the bracket bolts. Note: If the container (300) is
to be allowed to swing outward, tighten the nuts to
within one turn of being fully tight. This will allow
the container to swing away from a load. Because of
space limitations, it may be necessary to depress the
throttle lever (35) to install the bolts. Hoists
equipped with a pendent throttle may require
removal of the pendent link (183) to install the bolts.
Reinstall the pendent link after mounting bracket is
attached to the hoist.
4. Fasten the support bracket (305) to the inside of the
container with the bracket nut and washer outside
the container.
5. Fasten the container to the mounting bracket (301)
in the same manner.
6. Carefully separate the chain anchor (91) and install
one end of the support chain (306) on the chain
anchor with the load chain (92).
• Make certain the load chain does not become
twisted when attaching the support chain to the
chain anchor.
7. Fasten the free end of the support chain to the
support bracket with the support bracket bolt (307),
support bracket washer (309) and the support
bracket nut (308). Note: Adjust the support chain at
the support bracket to prevent the load chain from
rubbing the container when using the hoist.

Elle contient des renseignements impor-
tants sur son installation. Cette fiche doit
être mise à la disposition de toute per-
sonne responsable du fonctionnement, de
l'installation et de l'entretien de ce produit.
• Débrancher la conduite d'alimentation en air du
palan avant d'installer la pochette à chaîne.
• Ne jamais utiliser une pochette à chaîne sans la
chaîne d'équilibrage.
• Toujours utiliser les écrous autobloquants sur les
boulons qui fixent la pochette à chaîne au palan.
1. Placer la ferrure de montage (301) entre les bossages
à la partie inférieure du palan, à côté de l'orifice de
la chaîne.
2. Insérer deux boulons (302) dans la ferrure de
montage et dans les bossages, de manière à ce que la
tête du boulon soit du côté de la ferrure.
3. Installer une rondelle (304) et un écrou (303) sur
chaque boulon. Avis : Si la pochette (300) doit
pouvoir basculer vers l'extérieur, serrer les écrous
jusqu'à ce qu'il reste un tour pour les serrer à fond.
Ce jeu permettra à la pochette de basculer dans le
sens opposé à la charge. En raison de l'espace
restreint, il peut se révéler nécessaire d'abaisser la
manette des gaz (35) pour poser les boulons. Sur les
palans dotés d'une manette pendante, il se peut que
la tringle pendante (183) doive être enlevée pour
installer les boulons. Réinstaller la tringle pendante
après avoir fixé la ferrure de montage au palan.
4. Fixer la ferrure de soutien (305) à la partie intérieure
de la pochette, en plaçant l'écrou et la rondelle à
l'extérieur de la pochette.
5. Fixer la pochette à la ferrure de montage (301) de la
même manière.
6. Séparer soigneusement l'ancre (91) et installer une
extrémité de la chaîne de soutien (306) avec la
chaîne de charge (92) sur l'ancre.
• Veiller à ce que la chaîne de charge ne se torde pas
au moment de fixer la chaîne de soutien à l'ancre.
7. Fixer l'extrémité libre de la chaîne de soutien à la
ferrure de soutien au moyen d'un boulon (307), d'une
rondelle (309) et d'un écrou (308). Avis : Ajuster la
chaîne de soutien au niveau de la ferrure de soutien
pour empêcher la chaîne de charge de frotter contre la
pochette lors de l'utilisation du palan.

Esta hoja contiene información de insta-
lación importante. Póngala a disposición
de todas las personas responsables de
la operación, instalación y manten-
imiento del producto.
• Desconecte el polipasto del suministro de aire antes
de instalar un juego de bolsa para cadena.
• Nunca use una bolsa para cadena sin la cadena de
contrapeso.
• Siempre use tuercas autotrabantes en los pernos
que fijan la bolsa para cadena al polipasto.
1. Coloque el soporte de montaje (301) entre las
protuberancias de la parte inferior del polipasto,
adyacentes a la abertura para la cadena.
2. Inserte dos los pernos para ménsula (302) a través
del soporte de montaje y las protuberancias,
poniendo la cabeza de cada perno contra la ménsula.
3. Instale una arandela (304) y tuerca para ménsula (303)
en cada uno de los pernos para ménsula. Nota: Si se va
a permitir que la bolsa (300) oscile hacia afuera, apriete
las tuercas hasta que falte una vuelta para que queden
totalmente apretadas. Esto permitirá que la bolsa oscile
alejándose de la carga. Debido a las limitaciones de
espacio, podría ser necesario presionar la palanca de
mariposa (35) para instalar los pernos. En los
polipastos equipados con una mariposa colgante puede
ser necesario retirar el eslabón colgante (183) para
instalar los pernos. Vuelva a instalar el eslabón colgante
después de fijar el soporte de montaje al polipasto.
4. Asegure la ménsula de apoyo (305) al interior de la
bolsa con la tuerca para ménsula y la arandela fuera
de la bolsa.
5. Asegure la bolsa al soporte de montaje (301) de la
misma manera.
6. Separe con cuidado el anclaje de cadena (91) e instale
un extremo de la cadena de apoyo (306) sobre el
anclaje de cadena con la cadena de carga (92).
• Cerciórese de que no se retuerza la cadena de carga
al conectar la cadena de apoyo al anclaje de cadena.
7. Fije el extremo libre de la cadena de apoyo a la
ménsula de apoyo usando el perno (307), la arandela
(309) y la tuerca para ménsula de apoyo (308).
Nota: Ajuste la cadena de apoyo en la ménsula de
apoyo para evitar que la cadena de carga roce contra
la bolsa al usar el polipasto.
