Binding
1.
Setting up the machine
•
Carefully place the machine on a stable surface.
•
Move the binding lever
•
The machine is now ready to use.

Determining the correct spine width
•
Raise the measuring device
below it.
•
Let the measuring device down again and read off the recommended
spine width from the scale.
•
Take out the pages.
The spine width is indicated on the metal strip in the binding cover.

Placing pages in the binding cover
•
Straighten the pages so that the edges are flush.
•
Insert the pages into the binding cover.
•
Make sure that the space between the pages and the upper and lower
edge of the binding cover are identical.

Place the binding cover in the binding tray.
Caution, danger of crushing fingers/hands! When binding, hold
the binding cover with one hand and the lever with the other hand and
keep other persons away from the machine.
•
Press the binding lever

Move the lever fully upwards again and remove the bound book.
A de-binder, 7448-00-00, is available as a separate item. You can use this
accessory to reopen a bound book up to three times in order to remove or add
pages.
