8. Further functions
8.1 Operation at a min. or max. characteristic curve
This mode of operation can be selected via the pump control panel
or the R100 remote control unit.
The «MAX Characteristic Curve» operating mode can not be set
via the external input, however.
The pump can be set in such a manner as to enable it to operate
at the maximum or minimum characteristic curve. In this case,
it is operated like an unregulated pump.
If an unregulated pump is required, the «MAX Characteristic Curve»
setting can be selected. See Section 7.3
With this setting, the pump operates independently of an external
controller, if such a unit is present.
In periods characterized by a low flowrate requirement,
the «MIN Characteristic Curve» setting can be selected.
This setting is thus well suited for nighttime drawdowns, for example.
8.2 External fault message
The pump is equipped with a signal output for forwarding
a potential-free fault message signal via terminals 7 and 8 (Alarm).

The power supply has been interrupted
The pump is operating
The pump has been set to the «Stop» mode.
The pump has been shut down due to a fault.
A restart is being attempted.
It may be necessary to manually restart the pump
by acknowledging the fault message.
The pump is operating again after being shut down
due to a fault.
Note: If there is no signal from the differential pressure
or temperature sensor, the pump will continue to operate
at the MAX characteristic curve.
The pump has been set to the «Stop» mode
after having already been shut down due
to a fault.
The fault message output is activated as soon as the pump registers
a malfunction. The fault message relay is activated together
with illuminated message display on the pump.
Resetting of fault indications
A fault indication can be reset in one of the following ways:
– Briefly press
or
This will not influence the pump performancve set.
– Briefly switch off the power supply to the pump.
– With the R100.
The fault indication cannot be reset until the cause
of the fault has disappeared.
