From the BX-FD2 harness to the aftermarket radio: For models without SyNC: • Connect the Red RCA jack labeled “FROM 3.5” to the right AUX-In jack. • Connect the Black wire to the ground wire. • Connect the White RCA jack labeled “FROM 3.5” to the left AUX-IN jack.

BX-FD2 Extra features Initializing the BX-FD2 SyNC, rear seat entertainment (RSE), satellite radio (SAT), and AuX-IN: • Turn the key to ignition, the L.E.D. inside the interface by the 16-pin harness will turn on solid Red. • If your vehicle comes equipped with SYNC, RSE, SAT, or AUX-IN, the BX-FD2 can retain these features. • After 30 seconds the L.E.D. will turn off for a few seconds, and then flash up to 16 times depending on what radio it sees connected to it, and then turn off Note: Most Ford radios have SAT built into the factory radio, so this feature is lost if so. -

* Note: If the BX-FD2 flashes (7) times, and you do not have an Alpine radio connected to it, that means the BX-FD2 does not detect a radio connected it. Verify that the 3.5mm jack is connected to the correct steering wheel jack/wire in the radio. -
