oPeratIon WIth a humIdIfIer bottle (If so PresCrIbed)
WARNING: The use of a humidifier bottle with a concentrator must be prescribed
by a physician.
WARNING: DO NOT overfill the humidifier bottle.
WARNING: DO NOT reverse the oxygen inlet and output connections, or water
from the humidifier bottle will travel through the oxygen hose back to the patient.
1. Unscrew the humidifier bottle cover.
2. Fill the humidifier bottle with purified
or distilled water to a point between
the maximum and minimum water level
lines. If needed, add medication to the
water as prescribed by your physician.
3. Replace the cover on the humidifier
bottle and tighten it securely.
4. Place the humidifier bottle in the oxy-
gen concentrator's humidifier compart-
ment, attaching the humidifier bottle
cover nut to the oxygen outlet.
5. Turn the nut counter-clockwise to se-
cure it to the oxygen outlet. Ensure
that the humidifier bottle cover nut is securely attached to the oxygen outlet be-
fore continuing.
6. Attach oxygen tubing from the humidifier bottle to the patient's cannula or mask out-
let (these may already be connected).
7. Ensure that the power switch is in the OFF position. Plug the concentrator's AC con-
nector into a properly grounded power outlet.
8. Turn the concentrator on: See the previous section, TurnInG THE COnCEnTrATOr
On, and follow steps 2-3.
