VOLTMETER MODE
The GYSCAP 500E has a voltmeter mode. It is possible to check the vehicle's battery voltage, as well as the GYSCAP
500E's voltage.
Connect the GYSCAP 500E clamps to the battery, ensure that the polarity is correct.
Press the Power button.
Press the voltmeter button to check the voltage.
Use the display selection button to know:
• The voltage at the clamps (vehicle's battery voltage or alternator's voltage)
• The voltage of the GYSCAP 500E.
The display shows the voltage.
USE IN STARTER MODE
For regular interventions :
Connect the GYSCAP 500E clamps to the battery, ensure that the polarity is correct.
Press the Power button.
The digital display shows the GYSCAP 500E voltage capacity.
Press the start button. A 30 seconds countdown starts.
Start the vehicle as quickly as possible before the capacity is transferred to the battery.
Wait for the GYSCAP 500E to charge itself until the display shows
(Once it's charged, the GYSCAP 500E is ready for a new start)
After switching the GYSCAP 500E off using the
Disconnect the GYSCAP 500E clamps from the vehicle.
Wind up the cables and put them in the dedicated space.
If the vehicle does not start after two attempts, the problem is probably not battery
related. Locate the source of the problem prior to any other starting attempt.
