3 Method of operation and use
The pressure "p" of the tubing system is effective in the pressurized chamber of
pressure switch type SDE5-... . The pressure switch closes (switch element func-
tion NO: normally-open) or opens (switch element function NC: normally-closed) a
current circuit when the switching pressure is reached. The switch element func-
tion is preset at the factory and can only be modified on the SDE5-...-FP-... . The
SDE5-... is available with different switching functions (modes 0...3).
The SDE5-... has been designed for monitoring changes in pressure in the com-
pressed air system. The SDE5-... converts pneumatic pressure values and supplies
electric signals which can be used for control or regulating functions.
