The maintenance by pass 45A (MTBS 45A) is an accessory designed for the UPS range DAKER DK
4,5, 6 and 10kVA to allow service or eventually replacement of the UPS without affecting the con-
nected loads.
You are advised to read carefully the safety instruction sheet included in the packaging and
this handbook before installing the MTBS.

tion, operation and storage of this product. Failure to heed these instructions and warnings

Safety Precautions
To reduce the risk of personal injury from electric shock, you must observe the following safety
precautions when placing, installing, operating, or performing maintenance on the MTBS Box.
WARNING
This product is designed for indoor use only in a controlled environment away from excess
moisture, temperature extremes, conductive contaminants, dust or direct sunlight.
• Do not connect the MTBS box to an ungrounded outlet or extension cords or adapters that
eliminate the connection to ground.
• Do not use this equipment in the presence of flammable substances.
The power requirement for each piece of equipment connected to the MTBS box must not ex-
ceed the individual outlet's load rating.
• Do not drill into or attempt to open any part of the MTBS box housing. There are no user service-
able parts inside.
• Do not modify the MTBS box.
• Do not use the MTBS box if any part of it becomes damaged.
• Never install electrical equipment during a thunderstorm.
