Gx Device Connection - Victron energy SmartShunt 500 A Manual

This is how to make the connections:
Connect the M8 cable eye of the temperature sensor
•
to the positive terminal of the battery.
Connect the ferrule pin of the red cable (with fuse) to
•
the SmartShunt by pushing the pin into to the "Vbatt
+" terminal.
• Connect the ferrule pin of the black cable to the
SmartShunt by pushing the pin into the "Aux"
terminal.
Please note that if the temperature sensor is used, the red power cables that came with the SmartShunt are not
needed. The temperature sensor will replace these cables.

3.5 GX device connection

If the system contains a GX device, the SmartShunt can be connected to a GX device via a VE.Direct cable, part
number ASS03053xxxx. Once connected, the GX device can be used to read out all monitored battery
parameters. For more information see chapter 6.2: "Connecting to a GX device and VRM".
