MOUNTING SPACE

Your microwave oven requires mounting space on a wall as shown.
  
• 13" recommended upper cabinet
depth.
• The bottom edge of the cabinet
that will be above the microwave
oven is at least 30" from the
cooking surface.

WALL CONSTRUCTION

This microwave oven should be mounted against and supported by a flat,
vertical wall.
• To find the location of the studs,
one of following methods may be
used:
1. Stud Finder--magnetic device
which locates nails in the stud.
2. Use a hammer to tap lightly
across the mounting surface to
find a solid sound.
• The bottom of the microwave oven
should be at least 2" above the
range backsplash for proper
installation and servicing.
• 30" width is required to mount the
microwave oven.

• After locating the stud, the center
can be found by probing the wall
with a small nail to find the edges
of the stud and then placing a mark
halfway between the edges.
• Wall construction should be a
minimum of 2" x 4" wood studding
and
plaster/lath.
• Studs are usually at regular
intervals spaced 16" or 24" apart.
