The indicator light (Fig. 1-B) indicates the following:
• «Green»: the device is powered.
• «Red»: the device is overheating. Wait for it to turn off.
Malfunction
There is no signal tone and thew indicator
light does not turn on when the trigger is
pressed (Fig. 6).
The charger is plugged in, the indicator
light (Fig. 1-B) does not turn on.
CAUTERIZATION OPERATION
Before performing the operation, check that the applicable rules have been followed. In order to ensure that the operation
is properly performed, we recommend that you follow the rules set out in the «Dehorning recommendations» paragraph.
Operating method
1 - Position the heating element (Fig. 5) on the base of the horn bud.
2 - Press on the trigger (Fig. 6). Hold the trigger down throughout the operation.
• Cat. No. 124 and 125: the indicator light (fig. 1-B) turns on, indicating that the cycle has begun.
• Cat. No. 126 and 127: a steady tone indicates that the cycle is underway.
3 - End of operation.
• Cat. No. 124 and 125: the indicator light (fig. 1-B) switches off and a steady tone signals that the operation is complete.
• Cat. No. 126 and 127: the steady tone ends, indicating that the cycle is complete.
4 - Release the trigger (Fig. 6).
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Never attempt to modify this tool
Important: Never use a liquid to clean the device. No specific maintenance operations are required for this device.
Battery version
In order to preserve battery life, the following rules must be followed:
- Never store the device with the battery discharged.
- In the event of extended storage without use, recharge the battery once every 6 months.
- Store the device in an environment with a temperature of between 10 °C and 20 °C / 50 °F - 68 °F.
Cleaning the tip
It is recommended to remove accumulated dirt in the tip (Fig. 5). To do this:
1 - Press on the trigger (Fig. 6).
2 - Wait for 12 seconds.
3 - Release the trigger (Fig. 6).
4 - Once the tip has cooled down, use a brush to remove residue.
If the heating wire (Fig. 7-A) and/or the ceramic bit (Fig. 7-B) are damaged, they must be changed.
To do this, perform the following steps with the device unplugged:
- Remove the 2 screws (Fig. 7-C) using the key provided (Fig. 7-D).
Causes and solutions
Cat. No. 124 and 125
• Your battery is fully discharged. Charge your battery.
• You have not unplugged your charger.
The heating wire has not been properly tightened (Fig. 4).
Cat. No. 126 and 127
• You have not plugged your device in or the socket outlet is defective.
• The heating wire has not been properly tightened (Fig. 4).
Either your charger is not properly plugged in or it is defective.
