• Never use SDS PLUS adapter 24 in the impact drill-
ing or chiselling operation modes�
• Drills that don't belong to the SDS PLUS system are
not allowed for the percussion drilling�
Mounting / dismounting of the gear rim chuck (see
fig. 10-11)
[CT18114, CT18116, CT18158, CT18158V]
• Screw the gear rim chuck 23 onto the adapter 24
(SDS PLUS) and lock it in with the screw 25 (see
fig. 10).
• Install the adapter 24 (SDS PLUS) into the
chuck 1 (SDS PLUS), repeating the same steps as
when mounting the borer (chisel) see fig. 11.
• When dismantling, repeat the steps described
above in the reverse order�
Attention: keep in mind that in the pro-
cess of mounting / dismounting of the
gear rim chuck 23 the screw 25 has a left-
hand thread.
Mounting / replacement of accessories (see fig. 12)

• Release the cams grip with drill chuck key 26, then
rotate the quill of gear rim chuck 23 counter-clockwise
with your hand (see fig. 12) until the cams move apart
at the distance allowing an accessory to be mounted /
replaced�
• Mount / replace an accessory�
• Rotate the quill of gear rim chuck 23 clockwise with
your hand in order to lock the accessory mounted� Do
not allow the accessory to become distorted�
• Tighten the cams of gear rim chuck 23 with drill
chuck key 26 applying a similar torque to each of the
three openings on the side surface of the chuck�
With long-term use the drill bit may be-
come very warm; use gloves to remove it.
Initial operating of the power tool
• Always use the correct supply voltage: the power
supply voltage must match the information quoted on
the power tool identification plate.
• The power tool is supplied properly lubricated and
ready for use�
• A new power tool needs some time for its parts to
run in before a full load operation� The run-in period
duration is about 5 hours of operation�
• The gear lubrications require a short time to get
warm� Depending on the ambient temperature this
period of time can alter within the range of approxi-
mately 15 s (at ambient temperature of 32°С) up to 2
minutes (at ambient temperature of 0°С).
Switching the power tool on / off
Switching on:
Press on / off switch 12�
Switching off:
Release the on / off switch 12�
Design features of the power tool
Operation mode regulator (see fig. 13-15)
Switching the operation modes shall be
carried out only in the off mode of the
tool's motor.
Function switch 7 and 17 are fitted with
lock button 8 that is used to fix the func-
tion switch 7 and 17 in a set position.
Rotate function switch 7 and 17 while
pressing button 8 in order to set a desired
operating mode.

Function switches 7 and 11 are designed for the
switching the following operation modes of the
tool (see fig. 13):
Drilling (set the function switches 7 and 11 in the posi-
tions indicated in figure 13.1) - non-percussion drilling
in wood, synthetics, metal�
Percussion drilling (set the function switches 7
and 11 in the positions indicated in figure 13.2) - per-
cussion drilling in masonry, concrete, natural stone�
Chiselling (set the function switches 7 and 11 in the
positions indicated in figure 13.3) - chiselling ducts in
masonry, concrete, stone, removing ceramic tiles�

Function switch 17 is designed for the switching the
following operation modes of the tool (see fig. 14):
Percussion drilling (set the function switch 17 in the
position indicated in figure 14.1) - percussion drilling in
masonry, concrete, natural stone�
Chiselling (set the function switch 17 in the position
indicated in figure 14.2) - chiselling ducts in masonry,
concrete, stone, removing ceramic tiles�
Chisel rotation (set the function switch 17 in the posi-
tion indicated in figure 14.3) - this mode does not allow
operating your power tool, but allows setting the chisel
in a comfortable position for chiselling works�

Function switch 17 is designed for the switching the
following operation modes of the tool (see fig. 15):
Drilling (set the function switch 17 in the position indi-
cated in figure 15.1) - non-percussion drilling in wood,
synthetics, metal�
Percussion drilling (set the function switch 17 in the
position indicated in figure 15.2) - percussion drilling in
masonry, concrete, natural stone�
Chiselling (set the function switch 17 in the position
indicated in figure 15.3) - chiselling ducts in masonry,
concrete, stone, removing ceramic tiles�
Chisel rotation (set the function switch 17 in the posi-
tion indicated in figure 15.4) - this mode does not allow
