1.0 Safety Instructions

• The electromechanical "Grass Sensomatic" opening system features the latest in technology and meets the
respective EN standards and the general accident prevention regulations.
• The "Grass Sensomatic" opening system must only be installed by specially trained experts with the aid of
this assembly manual.
• Any works on this system must only be carried out with the system disconnected from the mains.
• When assembling Sensomatic, the national regulations and standards are to be adhered to.
• Unauthorised modifications to the "Grass Sensomatic" opening system exempt Grass GmbH from any liability
for resulting damages.
• Grass GmbH does not provide any guarantees if the system is used in combination with other makes.
• For repair and maintenance works only original Grass parts must be used.
• The connection to the mains must be carried out by a specialist electrician.
• If sawing work is carried out in the vicinity of "Grass Sensomatic" no chippings may get into the
opening unit or the carcass rail.
• It must be possible to switch the opening system into unpowered mode, e.g. include switchable sockets.
Whenever the power supply unit or the opening unit is replaced the system must be disconnected
from the mains.
• During the installation, care must be taken that no cables are squashed.
• The power supply unit must be easily accessible.
• It is important that no moisture can get into the power supply unit.
• No damaged parts must be used.
• Store these instructions together with the user manual and pass them on to the next owner or user.
