The user may only carry out the operations indicated in
this manual.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any unau-
thorized handling of the equipment.
ATTENTION Periods of non-use. When it is anti-
cipated that the equipment will not be used for a
certain period, disconnect it from the electric mains and
clean the housing of the probe. It is very important to
remember that pH and Redox probes must always be
kept in contact with liquid
Probes are delivered with a rubber covering which
contains liquid to ensure their conservation. This covering
needs to be removed before use, but it is advisable
to keep it for a future occasion in order to be able to
keep the probe in liquid if it is stored outside its external
housing.
DANGER Power cable. Position the power cable
in such a way that it cannot be stepped on, pierced
or damaged in any way, to avoid all risk of electrocution.
ATTENTION Cleaning. The equipment must be
located in the interior of a building, and in a dry
room; it must be easily accessible, not directly exposed
to sunlight, without extreme changes of temperature,
attached to a wall that can withstand the weight of the
equipment.
Good ventilation is vital to avoid the accumulation of
vapours from the chemical products.
The containers of chemical products must not be placed
either directly beneath the dosage measuring panel or
too far away from it, so as to facilitate suction through the
dosing pumps.
It is important to avoid damage to the metal components
through corrosion caused by the vapours given off by
the acids.
• Chemical products must not be transferred to a reci-
pient which has been used for another product.
• Chemical products must not be stored in a damp zone
or a zone exposed to high temperatures.
• In case of doubts concerning the storage, use or
handling of a chemical product, read attentively the
instructions or label of the chemical product concerned,
or consult the supplier of the product.
1.2. Prior inspection
The condition of the packaging must be checked on
delivery of the material.
If the packaging appears to be damaged, unpack the
equipment and conduct a visual check to ensure that the
various parts supplied have not been damaged during
their transportation.
If the product has been damaged during transportation,

the supplier must be informed within 8 hours of delivery.
The equipment is supplied in cardboard packaging.
During transport and storage, the equipment must be
protected from damp, from sources of heat and from
possible damage of a mechanical nature (collisions, falls,
blows, etc.).
Lift and handle the product with care, using appropriate
lifting devices.

2. OPERATING PROCEDURES

The EQUAL Complet system regulates the dosage of
chemical products (HCl – hydrochloric acid – for the
regulation of pH; and NaOCI – sodium hypochlorite – for
the disinfection of the contaminating agents present in
the swimming pool.
The administration of the dosage is carried out by means
of two electro-magnetic dosing pumps in accordance
with the readings for the values of pH and ClF (free
available chlorine) taken continuously by two probes: one
probe for pH values and another for Redox values. An
approximate calculation makes it possible to ascertain
the approximate ClF value in ppm.
The dosing pumps in the EQUAL Complet system
have an adjustable flow of up to 5 litres per hour (or 10
litres per hour, depending on the model) at a maximum
pressure of 5 bar.
The first pump measures out doses of sodium hypochlo-
rite (or sodium hypobromite) so as to carry out a prior
adjustment of the required amount of ClF - free available
chlorine - in order to ensure the disinfection of the water
in the swimming pool. The reading of the ClF value is
made from a Redox probe which gives us a value of
conductivity in mV. for the water in the pool.
The EQUAL Complet system gives us a reading in ppm
of ClF in accordance with the pH and mV value at any
given time. In this way we receive reliable information
concerning the level of ClF in the pool without using
Galvanic cells.
The second dosing pump corrects the variation in the
value of pH produced in the pool by the addition of
sodium hypochlorite. This correction of pH is obtained by
the administration of a dosis of acid reactant (hydrochlo-
ric acid HCI).
Advantages: The monitoring and regulation with the
two dosing pumps is centralized in a single instrument.
This provides for better performance of the system,
avoiding problems of synchronization between the two
pH and ClF dosing units.
For example: if the pH value is not correct, the adminis-
tration of the dosis of chlorine will not be set off.
The carrying out of the chlorine disinfection depends
on the pH level being inside the appropriate values. The
two dosing pumps will not be able to administer doses si-
multaneously, except for a certain time during the setting
up of the system.
