3. RS-485 CONNECTIONS
There are two options for connecting the soft-starter on a RS-485 network:
point-to-point connection (directly) or multi-drop connection.

4. CAUTION WITH THE RS-485
Use cables with cross-section equal or greater than 26AWG (0.14mm²),
shielded twisted pair.
The shields of the cables shall be grounded on every network node through
the RS-485 connector.
All the equipment on the network shall be grounded.
Use separately metallic conduits for the serial interface cable.
Remember to enable the termination resistors at the extreme ends of the
network and to disable them on the internal equipments of the network.
