Introduction
The radio control can be used to operate, for example, a bow
thruster or an anchor windlass from any desired position on
board.
Installation
Warning
In order to avoid personal injury the electrical connections
must always be disconnected during installation and
maintenance.
Place the receiver as far as possible from large metal objects
and electric motors. The receiver is not watertight; therefore fit
the receiver in a place where it will not get wet.
Connect the unit as shown in the wiring diagram. Use the cable
sleeves provided for connecting up the cables.
The remote control unit and the receiver belong together. Never
mix them up with another remote control unit or receiver!
A fixed place for the remote control unit can be created using
the support provided.
Use
Switch on the power to the receiver.
Hold the 'ON' button down for about 2 seconds.
The LED will flash on and off and the remote control is ready for
use.
N.B. A remote control unit which is held too close to the receiv-
er can cause interference. Therefore when using the remote
control unit keep this at least 1 metre away from the receiver.
The maximum distance between the remote control and the
receiver to guarantee effective functioning is 15 metres.
RC2: The 2 keys are used to operate one appliance.
RC4: The 4 keys are used to operate 2 appliances.
Never press 2 keys simultaneously!
If the remote control unit is not used it will switch off automati-
cally after about 2 minutes.
N.B. The receiver remains switched on.
Replacing the battery
Remove the 8 screws on the back of the remote control unit. An
extra battery is supplied inside the unit. Remove the old battery

New remote control (transmitter)
A new remote control (transmitter) can be used:
- as a replacement for the original remote control, or
- as an extension of the original remote control.
Every new remote control must be registered. A maximum of 5
remote controls can be registered for each receiver. If a 6th
remote control is registered, the 1st remote control is erased
from the receiver's memory.
How to register the new remote control with the receiver:
1 Remove the lid from the receiver (see illustration). The black
button switch (A) and LED (B) can now be seen on the print.
Make sure that only the wiring for the receiver is connected
to the power supply, but do not turn the power supply on yet.
2 Switch the new
remote control on.
Hold the 'ON' but-
ton for about 2
seconds.
3 Turn on the power supply for the receiver.
Note: once the power supply has been switched on, the
black button switch (A) is active for only 12 seconds!
4 Press and hold the
upper left function
button on the new
remote control.
5 Now press the black button switch (A) as well until the LED
(B) lights up. This confirms correct registration.
6 Release the function button that you were holding on the
remote control.
7 The LED (B) will now go out.
Check that the new remote control is working correctly.
Notes:
- Be careful not to damage any electrical components on the
print.
- There will not be any dangerous voltage.
