Alert Type (DISPLAY, VOICE, OR TONE)
Alert Type (DISPLAY, VOICE, OR TONE)
1. Press MENU to open menu options.
2. Press UP directional arrow to scroll through menu options until "ALT TYPE"
(Alert Type) is displayed; then press SELECT.
3. Press UP directional arrow to scroll through the following (3) alert types:
"DISPLAY", "VOICE", or "TONE."

5. Press SELECT to choose the Alert Type you want.
6. Press MENU to exit menu programming mode.

ALERT OFF OPTION:

Your Alert Work's EAR-10 Emergency Alert Weather Radio allows you to
program the radio to silence selected event codes in your area to minimize
annoyance.
 Press MENU button to open menu options
 Press UP directional arrow to scroll through menu options until
"ALERTOFF" is displayed
 Press SELECT
 Press the UP/DOWN directional arrow to select the event code that you
wish to silence
 Press the LEFT or RIGHT directional arrow to set the selected event code
to "ON or OFF"
 Press MENU to exit the programming mode

Description of Tone Pattern
(none) Text alert scrolls on display (no sound)
The alert will sound for about 8
seconds; then you will hear the voice
of the weather broadcast for about 5
minutes. If you want to listen longer,
press WEATHER/SNOOZE.
Alert tones will sound for five
minutes, or until you press any
button —except
WEATHER/SNOOZE which toggles
to voice weather broadcast.
