Before using the appliance, READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS and wash the Filter
Basket, Pump Tube, and inside of Urn Body with non-abrasive detergent. Wipe dry
with soft cloth. Try not to get water into the base of the appliance.

Remove lid and filter basket. Fill with COLD WATER to desired amount on water
gauge. Do not fill more than the MAXIMUM fill mark on water gauge.

Insert pump tube firmly into the heating element inside the urn body to assure proper
pump action. Place filter basket on tube.

Add regular coffee grounds evenly into filter basket. Amount of grounds used depends
on your taste. To heat only water for instant drinks, do not add coffee grounds

Place lid in position and turn clockwise to lock into place.

Check power switch is OFF position. Plug cord into grounded 120V. electrical
outlet. Press power switch to ON and the red HEATING light will turn on to indicate
brewing.
7.
Brewing will stop automatically and green KEEP WARM light will turn on. Coffee
or hot water is ready to serve.
8.
When the level drops below the bottom graduation of the water gauge, press power
switch to OFF and unplug from electrical outlet.
9.
NEVER OPERATE APPLIANCE EMPTY. This can damage the heating element
and void warranty.
Resetting appliance overheat protection device
• This appliance has an overheat protection device that will automatically stop heating if
it is operated without enough water or ambient temperatures to high.
• To reset switch - Cord must be removed from electrical outlet and appliance allowed to
cool. Located under base is a button that must be pressed to reset device.
• Check that power switch is in OFF position and insert cord into grounded 120V
electrical outlet.

1. Always turn OFF the power switch then unplug appliance before cleaning.
2. Empty remaining liquid by removing lid, basket and pump tube and pouring liquid into
drain.
3. Clean the surfaces with clean, damp, soft cloth or sponge. Never place base of
appliance in water or other liquids.
4. Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Do not use Baking Soda because it can
pit the metal and discolor permanently.
5. Allow to dry before storage.
6. Some water has higher mineral content that can discolor the inside of the urn body. To
remove these stains fill to desired level with COLD WATER use several tablespoons
of vinegar or Cream of Tartar powder. Allow to heat for about 10 minutes then stop
heating cycle using power switch. Drain solution and clean as noted above.
