7.0 Speed setting
The drive motor speed can be steplessly set via an adjustment wheel. We have determined the
following speed settings based on experience:
Unhardened steel – cast iron
Aluminium, brass, short-chipping
Aluminium, plastics, long-chipping
Hardened steel
Important factors for setting the speed are:
d) The bevel size
e) The unit's feed speed
f)
Material strength and material workability
Due to these various factors, only a guideline value for the speed setting can be provided by the
manufacturer.
8.0 Guide rails on KFT 250 stand model
Steel guide rails are supplied with these units as standard. The fastening holes are off-centre. This
allows two different installation possibilities:
Position I
(installed at the factory)
for large burrs
for workpieces greater than 4.5 mm thickness
Position II
for workpieces 1.0 - 4.5 mm thickness
For this, unscrew the guide rails, rotate laterally 180°
and screw on again.
Guide rails are available in high-quality plastic for particularly sensitive materials (special accessory).
9.0 Chip removal and cleaning
Remove the metal chips from the unit periodically using a brush.
Always keep the workplace clean.
