LATITUDE™ Communicator Patient Literature Supplement
This patient literature supplement applies to Models 6280, 6290, and 6498 Communicators using the
cellular data network option to send implanted device data to the LATITUDE Patient Management
System.
Model 6359 USB Cellular Adapter is an alternative to the USB cellular adapter shown in your
LATITUDE Communicator patient manual and quick start guide. (The patient manual and installation
guide for the Model 6498 Communicator do not reference cellular adapters.) The following
information applies to Model 6359:
• The "Where to Place Your USB Cellular Adapter" section in your patient manual also applies to
Model 6359.
• It is normal for the LED light on the Model 6359 to blink. At times the light may be lit solid.
• A SIM card specific for Communicator use only has been pre-installed in Model 6359. Do not
remove or tamper with this SIM card.
• Specifications listed in your patient manual for the USB cellular adapter do not apply to Model
6359. Refer to the specifications provided with Model 6359.
To set up the Model 6359 USB Cellular Adapter with your Communicator, follow the instructions
provided with Model 6359 and refer to the figure below.
