You may have paired your phone with another
handsfree device. Some phones can only be paired
with one handsfree device at a time. Please check in
the phone's user documentation or with a Sony
Ericsson service partner for supported Bluetooth
profiles. Pair your phone with the car handsfree
to make them connect.
No sound contact between car handsfree
and phone
The car handsfree and the phone you are using with it
have to be paired to recognize each other, and within
range.
The indicator light is red
There is no mobile network within range. Move to get
a signal that is strong enough, position your phone
somewhere else in the car, or try searching for a new
network in the GSM Networks menu of your phone.
If you often experience network problems, we
recommend you to buy an external car antenna and
a car holder. Check with your local retailer to see if
your phone supports these accessories.
Connection interrupted
You hear a short low tone if the connection between
the phone and the car handsfree is interrupted. Try
connecting them again by pressing
Retrieve call in phone?
If the question Retrieve call in phone? appears in the
phone display every time you make a call from the
phone, you have chosen the setting Always ask under
Extras or Connect/Bluetooth/Options/Headset sound
or H-free sound. This setting controls whether to take
outgoing calls in the handsfree equipment or in the
phone.
Some car handsfree functions do not work
If you notice that you cannot make use of all the
features in the Bluetooth Car Handsfree HCB-30,
please check in your user documentation whether your
phone supports the function. You can also check with
a Sony Ericsson service partner. For information
about support and for User's Guides for Ericsson,
Sony and Sony Ericsson mobile phones, see
