Presetting
System with pre-settable valves
1. Fully open all control valves.
2. Adjust all terminal valves to the given design flow.
3. Check the flow across the STAF valve.
4. Adjust the differential pressure (∆p
until the require flow is attained across the STAF valve. Wait 2 – 3 minutes before reading the value.
System with balancing valves
1. Fully open all control valves.
2. Close points (4) and (5). Open any of the points (6) and (8) to move the STAP valve to the fully
open position.
3. Adjust the installation (for example by using TA Balance)
4. Close points (6) and (8) and open point (4) and (5).
5. Adjust the differential pressure (∆p
until the require flow is attained across the STAF valve. Wait 2 – 3 minutes before reading the value.
Maintenance
The STAP valves are maintenance free under the condition that they are used within their normal
application area.
Locking of set ∆p
L
If desired, ∆p
can be locked at the set value by turning the shut off handwheel anti-clockwise.
L
Shut-off
Shut-off STAP using the handwheel.
