Printer Operating Modes
(Page Mode / Line Mode)
The YDP04IS-0CE printer can be used in 2
different operating modes:
– "Line Mode" (factory setting)
– "Page Mode"
When using automatic paper recognition, the
operator can obtain information on the current
operating mode by viewing the status message
(see also the section "Activating Paper
Recognition"). The status message is printed
and, in addition to other information (such as
the software version), contains the message
"Line Mode" or "Page Mode" in the third line.
Note:
For paper recognition, use the label paper
supplied with the printer. Do not
recognition when using continuous paper, as
this may lead to a paper end error. If, however,
the printer signals the end of the paper after
printing only a few lines (the red error LED in
the "FEED" button will light up), activate paper
recognition using the label paper
