Instruction for Proper Use

l This product can not totally prohibit a dog from escaping. To help avoid dog's escape, please make sure the door is properly closed and locked.
l Never place the product at the top of a staircase, near a glass door, or exit hallway. Avoid places where it may be unsafe to install this product.
l Install this product onto a wall surface that is vertical and a floor surface that is steady and level. The door frame must be wider than 2.4" for
proper installation.
l This product is designed to fit openings from 28.3 - 41.3" Do not install this product outside of its range to avoid unexpected accidents and/or
product damage.
l CHILDREN and ADULTS can trip over product under low-light/darkness. Place a night light near the product to avoid possible personal injury
under low-light/dark conditions.
l Only use genuine Richell parts and do not alter the design of the gate to avoid accidents and/or injury.
l Do not use this product for anything other than its intended purpose.
l Keep this product away from all heat sources at all times to avoid unexpected product damage or burn-related injuries to persons/pets.
l Do not drop or misuse this product in any way to avoid injuries and/or product damage.
l This product is designed for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors.
l Do not use this product while your pet is leashed to avoid unexpected accidents/injuries, such as dog entanglement.
l Do not lean or hang on to this product to avoid unexpected accidents and/or product damage.
l If you notice anything wrong with this product or installation site, discontinue its use at once.
l Keep this product out of reach of children and pets after disassembling it.
Cautions!
l Pay special attention to sharp corners and edges while installing this product to avoid personal injury.
l This product is designed for dogs 8.8 - 17.6 lbs. Do not use this product with dogs outside of these weight ranges to avoid unexpected inury
and/or escape.
l When opening/closing the Door, make sure the area is clear and be careful not to pinch your hands, fingers or pets.
l Keep this product in sight to avoid unexpected injury and/or accidents when pets behave unexpectedly.
l Use the supportive board if the pole or wall surface is unlevel to avoid unexpected accidents and/or product damage.
l Please note that when this product is installed on soft or embossed wallpaper, the wallpaper may get damaged by the adjuster knobs.
Important!
l Be sure the product is securely fixed. If not, tighten the bolts as necessary.

How to Clean
l Use a mild detergent and water and clean with a soft cloth/sponge. Cleaning with a scrub brush and/or using a polishing powder may
cause scratched, rust and/or discolor this product.
l When using creosol or other disinfectants, make sure to dilute them, otherwise damage to the wooden finish or discoloration may occur.
l Do not use harsh chemicals such as thinner, benzene or alcohol as these may cause damage/discoloration to the finish.
l After cleaning, wipe dry with soft cloth or place in a shaded area to air dry; do not place product in direct sunlight.
