WELDER CONNECTION INTO THE POWER SUPPLY
When connecting the welder into the power supply always double
check the voltage complies with what is indicated in the welder
nameplate.
CONNECTION BETWEEN THE WELDER, THE ELECTRODE HOLDER
AND THE WORK PIECE
One end of the welding output cable connects to the welder as shown
in the panel, the other end connects to the work piece and to the
electrode holder.
If the welder output cable if has fast-connection, the connection
screws shall be adjusted and secured, otherwise, the fast connection
and the welding cable may be damaged.
OPERATION
ATTENTION! The proper use of the welder may guarantee it will
work to satisfaction and can make the operation life of the machine
longer. When using the welder, please assure there is an adequate
input connection and ground before connecting into the power supply.
WELDER OPERATION
Connect the welder power inlet cable and the output cable as
instructed in the operation instructions. Then, connect the welder
to the main power supply before turning on the switch.

CLEANING THE WORK PIECE BEFORE WELDING
Before carrying out any welding job make sure corrosion and spots
are eliminated in a range of
sides. However, if there is not excessive corrosion and there is no
big demand for weld seam, there is no need to clean the corrosion.
ELECTRODE REPLACEMENT
To enable the welding job, replace the electrode only when is
consumed 0.39" or 0.78" from the electrode holder.
CURRENT ADJUSTMENT
Current is adjusted using the crank in the upper panel. When it is in
the adequate direction, the current will be higher, when in the
opposite direction, the currant will be lower. The current value can
be watched in the current adjusting indicator window.
When the current indicator is close to the maximum or minimum
current value, please do not use a high setting because it causes
loss.
OBSERVATIONS: The electrode burns at high temperatures. Do
not use your hands to replace it. The replaced electrode end shall be
set into a metal container. Do not use the electrode holder to hold
the electrode covering.
SLAG REMOVAL
When the weld is finished use a special slag hammer to remove slag
from the weld seam.
OBSERVATIONS: The slag removal job can only be carried out
when the slag has cooled down and hardens. To prevent being
injured by the slag, there should never be people in front of the work
piece when you remove slag.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
ATTENTION! This welder is made with a box
structure so it can be firmly fixed in its base during
transportation, complying with the standard
packaging.
When storing and transporting the welder, guard it against rain.
When loading, pay attention to the packaging. There shall not be
humidity, corrosive gasses and dust on the storage place. It shall
be kept dry and well ventilated. The allowed temperature ranges are
from
Relative humidity shall not exceed 90%.
-13 ºF, up to +131 ºF
After opening the packaging, it is suggested that the product will be
packed back according to the storage and future transportation
requirements. The users shall keep the packaging materials
together with the welder to use them during long distance
transportation.
