7 Preparing the equipment for use

7.1 Assembly

To enable space-saving transport, the handle of
the mower is designed foldable. For delivery, the
lower and the upper part of the handle are not
screwed together.
The lower part of the handle is fixed with clamping
blocks in the mower housing.
Assembly of the clamping blocks including the
fastening elements for fixing the mower's handle
inclination:

Prior to assembly make sure that the
Bowden cable (17) is not damaged.
When assembling and when folding or unfolding
the handle, take care not to jam, bend or damage
the Bowden cable! If necessary, shift and twist the
Bowden cable fixtures (18).
Procedure for installing the clamping blocks
Place a left and a right clamping block (a and b)
around the lower part of the handle and hold the
clamping blocks together. Make sure, that the
curvature of the clamping blocks points forward
and that the pin (c) of the left clamping block
engages in the bore of the right clamping block.

Press the clamping blocks together and insert the
lower part of the clamping blocks into the recess (f)
of the mower housing. After inserting the clamping
block has to be flush with the housing.
Insert the lower part of the handle into the clamping
blocks. Make sure that the handle fits completely in
one of the three possible positions in the clamping
block recess.

Insert a coach bolt (d) from the inside to the
outside through the clamping blocks und the bore
of the lower part of the handle.

Tighten the butterfly nut (e) on the outside.
Repeat the procedure for the lower part of the
handle on the other side.

Place the free ends of the upper
part of the handle from the outside
on the lower parts of the handle.
Insert the coach bolts M8x45 mm
on both sides of the handle from
the outside to the inside through
both parts of the handle. Slip the
curved washers on the bolts and if
necessary turn the washers to fit
them onto the handle.
Tighten both butterfly nuts on the
curved washers.
Flush!
