Air fi lter
Remove and clean the air fi lter every 3
months or 50 hours of operation.
Open the clamps holding the air fi lter cover
(17) in place. Remove the cover.

Take the fi lter element out.
Clean the fi lter element in hot water and
mild detergent. Rinse with clean water. Press
the water out of the fi lter element and allow
it to dry. Pour new engine oil onto the fi lter
element, and press any excess oil from it.
Replace the fi lter element, and replace the
cover.
Remember! Never start the generator
without the air fi lter in place.
Checking the oil level
Always check the oil level before use.
Unscrew the cover from the oil nozzle.
Remove the dipstick and wipe. Replace the
dipstick in the nozzle without screwing the
cover tight. Pull up the dipstick and read the
oil level off the dipstick. If necessary refi ll
with SAE 10W-40 engine oil so that it reaches
the MAX mark on the dipstick.
Screw the oil cover tight.

Changing the oil
Change the engine oil completely after the
fi rst month or 20 hours of operation, and
thereafter every 6 months or 100 hours of
operation.
Hold a suitable container under the drainage
cap.
Open the oil cover and unscrew the drainage
cap. Tilt the generator and drain the used
engine oil. Dispose of the used oil in
accordance with local rules and regulations.
Tip: Changing engine oil is easiest when the
engine is warm and the oil is fl uid.
Screw the drainage cap tightly back in place.
Refi ll with fresh, clean SAE 10W-40 engine oil
until the oil reaches the edge of the nozzle.
Screw the oil cover tight.
Fuel fi lter
The fuel fi lter prevents water or impurities
from the petrol tank getting into the
carburettor.
If the generator has not been used for a long
time, you will need to clean the fuel fi lter.
Set the petrol cock to the OFF position.
Remove the cup and empty it. Wash the cup,
O-ring and fi lter in pure petrol or similar.
Replace the fi lter, O-ring and cup.
Open the petrol cock to the ON position and
check that there are no leaks by the fuel fi lter.
