19. Slide the cover guard over the handle and carefully click it into the cover.
20. Slide the cover over the outer handle such that it is flush with the door (the cover is not symmetrical, please
note the marking, see figure step 20).
21. Slide the guard of the outer cover over the handle and carefully click it into the cover.

2 short beeps / (SC SmartHandle: LED flashes blue twice) before engagement and one short beep
following disengagement: signals normal actuation.
•
Warning level 1 – low batteries: eight short beeps before engagement (SC SmartHandle: LED flashes red
eight times). The batteries are almost flat. Change batteries in SmartHandle!
•
Warning level 2 – very low batteries: eight short beeps each with a one second pause in between for 30
seconds (SC SmartHandle: LED flashes red twice for 30 seconds) = emergency battery warning: batteries
are very flat. Change batteries in SmartHandle IMMEDIATELY!
•
SmartHandle: Once warning level 2 has occurred for the first time, you can perform approx. another 50
openings with a transponder.
•
SmartHandle SC: Once warning level 2 has occurred for the first time, you can perform up to another 200
openings.
•
Once this number of openings has been reached or after approx. 4 weeks (SC SmartHandle approx. 2
weeks), the SmartHandle automatically switches to freeze mode. From this warning level, the SmartHandle
can only be addressed using a SimonsVoss programming device or a G2 battery change transponder (for
more information, refer to the SmartHandle manual).

8 short beeps following disengagement: indicates that the transponder battery is flat. The transponder
battery must be changed!
diSaSSembly.
1. Using the tool supplied, carefully reach into guard of outer cover from below and unlock cover plate.
2. Slide guard of outer cover over handle and remove it.
3. Remove outer cover.
4. Using the tool supplied, carefully reach into guard of inner cover from below and unlock cover plate.
5. Slide guard of inner cover over handle and remove it.
6. Remove inner cover.

Disconnect 3-pin cable of inner fitting from 3-pin cable of outer fitting.
8. Unscrew fixing screw from inside of door by approx. 1 cm.
9. To release the tension of the snap-in mechanism, use a soft object to strike the fixing screw.
10. Completely unscrew fixing screw.
11. Hold inner and outer fittings and carefully pull them away from the door at the same time. Carefully pull the
cable through the door.
12. If necessary, unscrew socket head screw of inner handle (only unscrew such that it remains caught in the handle).
13. Remove inner handle from inner fitting.
cHanging batterieS Smart Handle .Wp and Sc.Wp.
1. Slide battery change tool into guard of inner fitting from below.
2. Disengage guard and carefully slide towards handle.
3. Slide inner cover towards handle too.
4. Carefully disengage electronics, fold away and remove the two batteries from the holder.
5. Slide the new batteries into the holder at the same time, with the positive poles touching one another
(change the batteries quickly). Only use clean gloves that are free from grease to handle the new batteries!
6. Retract and snap electronics into place.

Using the tool, slide slider on inside of guard back into home position. Otherwise, the guard can no longer be
snapped into place.
8. Slide inner cover back on such that it is flush with the door.
9. Slide guard on and snap into inner cover.
