Clear / Return
• Short press the ON/OFF/Clear Button (6) to clear the measured value or undo the last
action
Adjusting the measurement reference point

K
• With the meter switched ON, press the Measure Reference Point Button (5) to cycle
between the reference points displayed on the LCD Screen (2) (J or K) (Fig. III)
• The meter will make a noise when the measure reference point is changed
Note: The default measurement reference point is set to the Base Reference Point Setting
(J) every time the meter is switched on
Single distance measurement
1. Press the Laser/Measurement Button (3) to activate the laser
2. Point the laser at the point requiring measurement
3. Press the Laser/Measurement Button again
4. The measurement will be displayed immediately (F)
Continuous measurement (minimum/maximum)
1. Press the Laser/Measurement Button (3) to activate the laser
2. Point the laser at the minimum point requiring measurement
3. Press and hold the Laser/Measurement Button to activate the continuous measurement
function
4. Point the laser at the maximum point requiring measurement (Fig. IV)
5. On the LCD Screen (2), the minimum (D) and maximum (E) measurements are displayed
6. Press the Laser/Measurement Button OR the ON/OFF/Clear Button (6) to stop the
function
Note: This function will stop automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity

Area measurement
1. Press the Area/Indirect Measurement Button (4) once to activate the area measurement
mode (G)
2. Point the laser at the first measurement point (e.g. length) and press the Laser/
Measurement Button (3)
3. Point the laser at the second measurement point (e.g. width) and press the Laser/
Measurement Button
4. The measurements of length (C), width (D), perimeter (E), and area (F) are displayed on
the LCD Screen (Fig. V)

Laser Distance Meter
Volume measurement
1. Press the Area/Indirect Measurement Button (4) twice to activate the volume calculation
mode (G)
2. Point the laser at the first measurement point (e.g. length) and press the Laser/
Measurement Button (3) to take the first measurement
3. Point the laser at the second measurement point (e.g. width) and press the Laser/
Measurement Button to take the second measurement
4. Point the laser at the third measurement point (e.g. depth) and press the Laser/
Measurement Button to take the final measurement
5. The volume will have been calculated automatically and displayed on the LCD Screen
(F)
Indirect measurement
Note: For this function, all three measurements must be taken in the same line sequence
with one of the measurements being at a right angle to the laser beam (see Fig. VI, Fig.
VII, and Fig. VIII)
1. Press the Area/Indirect Measurement Button (4) three times to activate the Measuring
Mode Indicator (G)
2. Point the laser at the first measurement point and press the Laser/Measurement Button
(3)
3. Point the laser at the second measurement point and press the Laser/Measurement
Button
4. Point the laser at the third measurement point and press the Laser/Measurement Button
5. The measurements and result will be shown on the LCD Screen (C, D, E, and F) (Fig. IX)
