Adding ingredients
If you add additional ingredients (e.g. baking ingredients), the new total weight will be displayed.
However, if you wish to display the weight of the added ingredient separately, press "ON/TARA" first
(additional weighing function). Wait for 0 to be displayed constantly after flashing several times. The
scale is now ready for weighing additional ingredients.
Note: If more than a total of 5 kg is placed on the scale, it will display "Err".
Automatic switch-off
If the kitchen scale is left unused for longer than approx. 120 seconds, it automatically switches itself
off! You can also turn the scale off manually by pressing the button „ON/TARA" for 3 seconds. Fold
the scales back in again.

2.3 Timer function

Activate the timer function by pressing the Timer key. The time period starts flashing. Set the minutes
with the " " and " " keys and press "Set" to confirm. Then the seconds display starts flashing. Set
the seconds with the " " and " " keys. Press "Set" to start the timer function.
You can stop the timer at any time and return to weighing mode by pressing "ON/TARA". The timer
beeps and the display flashes when the set time has elapsed.
Press "Set" to return to the time display.

3. Disposal

The empty, completely flat batteries must be disposed of through specially designated collection
boxes, recycling points or electronics retailers. You are legally required to dispose of the batteries.
The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances:
Pb = Battery contains lead,
Cd = Battery contains cadmium,
Hg = Battery contains mercury.
For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste at the end of its useful
life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point.
Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equip-
ment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste dis-
posal.
Dispose of packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
