- Move to the other side of the vehicle. Proceed in the same
manner to seat the rack.
- Put the centring pins -detail- of the clamping hook in the riveting
nut holes in the roof sideplate suspension dome.

- Press the hook down to the vehicle roof sideplate.
Advice. After pressing the hook down to the vehicle
roof sideplate make sure that the centring pins of the
hook are fully engaged in the holes of the riveting
nuts.

- Lift the rack so that the hook remains clamped in the riveted nut
holes.
Attention. Close the side door of the vehicle.
- Closed door protects the rack hook from loosening.
- 15 -
- Slowly press the eccentric lever down to the bottom position.
Advice. Whilst pressing the eccentric lever down
constantly check the position of the bottom end
against the suspension dome of the roof.
Caution. The bottom end must be in the position
demonstrated in detail. The base foot may in no case
be located beyond the suspension dome of the roof!
- In bottom position the eccentric lever snaps and is secured with
a lock.
- Correctly fixed rack bottom end.
- 16 -
- Move to the other side of the vehicle.
- Press the bottom end of the rack down to the roof of the vehicle
and check the position of it against the suspension dome of the
roof.
Advice. The bottom end must be in the position
demonstrated in detail, or in the position of max 3 mm
from the suspension dome of the roof. In no case can
the bottom end of the rack be positioned at a distance
more than 3 mm from the roof suspension dome or
beyond the roof suspension dome!
Caution If the bottom end of the rack is seated in a
wrong position, in no case continue in the assembly
but contact an authorised ŠKODA service shop.
- If everything is OK, press slowly the eccentric lever down all the
way to the bottom position.
Notice.Whilst pressing the eccentric lever down
constantly check the position of the bottom end
against the suspension dome of the roof.
- In bottom position the eccentric lever snaps and is secured with
a lock.
- Correctly fixed rack bottom end.
