WARNING
Before starting the work, disconnect all live parts in the work area from their
power sources. If this should be impossible, take the necessary precautions for
work in the vicinity of live parts.
Prior to the application, keep the suitable pair of crimping dies (pos. no. 1.5 - page 30) ready
at hand. Please determine the right crimping dies from the crimping dies tables in our catalog.
Next, open the crimping head (pos. no. 1 - page 30). Operate the hook (pos. no. 1.2 – page
30), so that next, you can swivel the bracket (pos. no. 1.3 – page 30 sideward to the out-
side. You are now ready to insert the crimping dies half-pieces into the crimping dies holder (pos.
no. 1.1 - page 30) and the bracket (pos. no. 1.3 – page 30) into the relative seat; now press
the locking pins (pos. no. 1.4 – page 30) to secure them.
Next, the connecting material can be placed in the crimping tool. Then, swivel the bracket
(pos. no. 1.3 – page 14) and click it in place onto the hook (pos. no. 1.2 – page 14) to close the
crimping head (pos. no. 1 – page 14). Now you can start the crimping process. After the crimping
is complete, the cable is pulled out from the side.
3.4
Crimping working cycle
The crimping process is executed automatically after you press the start/stop button (see pos.
no. 3 - page 26) on the handle. To interrupt the crimping,
1. 1. just release the start/stop button (see pos. no. 3 - page 26)
2. 2. press the reset button strongly (see pos. no. 4 - page 26)
After a crimping process has been interrupted, the connection can be crimped again if shape and
position of the parts to be connected have not changed.
If several crimping processes are to be carried out on one connection, always start at the lug
side and proceed towards the cable/conductor end.
WARNING
The backward movement for emergency situations can exclusively be initiated
by pushing the mechanical reset button (see pos. no. 4 Figure page 26).
The power tool must not be operated while exposed to rain or under water!
