Turn the venting valve anticlockwise
and allow the car to lower. The more
the valve is opened, the faster the car
will descend. Avoid lowering the car too
quickly.

Checking the hydraulic oil
•
Turn the venting valve anticlockwise.
Lower the jack saddle fully and remove
the cover plate.
•
Unscrew the oil bung and hold the
hydraulic jack vertical with the handle
pointing downwards.
•
The oil should reach the bottom of the
hole for the oil bung. If it is not, top up
with clean, fresh hydraulic oil.
•
Replace the oil bung and cover plate.
Venting
•
Open the venting valve by turning it
anticlockwise.
•
Pump the handle quickly several times to
vent the system. Close the venting valve
again.
Cleaning and maintenance
•
The hydraulic jack can be wiped with
a damp cloth and a little detergent, if
required.
•
Do not use strong, abrasive or corrosive
cleaning agents on the hydraulic jack,
as these may damage the components.
Oil and grease can be removed using
benzine or similar.
•
Lubricate all moving parts regularly with
lubricating spray or a light oil and check
the hydraulic oil level before each use.
•
Always store the hydraulic jack in its fully
lowered position, so that the hydraulic
cylinder gets the best protection against
rusting.
