Switching Audio Mode

This section describes how to switch the audio in the analog mode and
how to switch the audio language in the digital mode.
TV
While receiving an MTS broadcast, press
[TV/VCR Audio] repeatedly to cycle through the
available audio channel.
STEREO : Outputs main-audio
SAP : Outputs second audio program
MONO : Outputs mono-audio
• The information display will automatically disappear
in a few seconds.
DTV

Press [DISPLAY] to display the currently selected lan-
guage and the number of available languages.

Press [TV/VCR Audio] repeatedly to cycle through the
available audio languages.
• Available languages differ depending on the broad-
cast. "OTHER" is displayed when the audio language
cannot be acquired, or the acquired languages are other
than English, Spanish or French.
• The information display will automatically disappear
in a few seconds.
Note:
• Pressing [TV/VCR Audio] does not control external audio
device.

TV Screen Display Mode

DTV
2 types of display modes can be selected in the digital mode when the
broadcasting station is sending 16:9 video signal.

Press [SET-UP] to display the main menu.

Use [Cursor K /L] to select "DTV SETUP", then
press [ENTER].
or

Use [Cursor K /L] to select "DTV DISPLAY", then
press [ENTER] repeatedly to switch the desired TV
aspect ratio.
or
[LETTERBOX] : Display the digital-supported pro-
gram in full-screen. Black borders will
spread in the upper and lower screen.
[ZOOM] : Enlarge and display the center area of
the digital-supported program. The right
and left side of image will be cut off.

Press [SET-UP] to exit.
Note:
• You may not switch the display mode depending on the
program.
