1.1 SAFETY OF INDIVIDUALS
The general safety instructions listed below must be scrupulously followed.
Installation, commissioning and maintenance operations.
Only trained individuals are allowed to work on the installation, troubleshooting and, in general, for any other type
of intervention on the system or remote panel.
This personnel must possess the specific documentation, in particular this manual.
Untrained operators must not work on the panel for any reason.
1.2 SAFETY OF THE PRODUCT
• The panel is designed for indoor use, do not install the device outdoors.
• Do not position the panel near liquids or in excessively humid /damp areas.
• Do not let liquid or other foreign substances get inside the device.
• Do not expose the panel to direct sunlight or place it near sources of heat.
FKP500 Consolle is a remote panel to repeat and show events and commands from and to the fire detection
control panels of series Elkron FAP54.
The panel is housed in a container to be used as both a desk panel and a wall panel.
FKP500 Consolle allows active and constant control over the status of the connection to control panel.
The series of control panels FAP54 allows to manage up to 16 remote panels placed at a maximum distance of
1200m.
The connection between control panel and remote panels is through connection RS485 with 2 wires and 9600
Bit/s; port RS485 of the panel is optically isolated, so the panel can be used with power supplies other than
provided by control panel.
Back-lit display with 40-character 8 lines is identical to control panel display. On the panel there are present a
number of led indicators showing, in a cumulative way, main information such as: power supply present, alarm
delay activation, active exclusions, alarms and failures. The panel has available a keypad with a back-lit membrane
which allows to give commands to control panel, because from the keypad it is possible to acquire events,
increment alarm delays, silence or rearm sirens, perform global resetting operation and control the operation of the
indicators that are present on the panel.
A buzzer inside the panel warns about failure and alarm conditions found by control panel.
FKP500 Consolle can be powered up either directly by control panel or locally by proper power supply.

3.1 FRONT INDICATORS

Alarm
Red LED indicator; when it is on an alarm condition is present on the control panel.
Fault
Yellow LED indicator; when it is on a fault condition is present on the control panel.
Excluded
Yellow LED indicator; when it is on an exclusion is present on the control panel.
Excluded siren
Yellow LED indicator; when it is on it indicates that the siren is excluded on the control panel.
Increase delay
Yellow LED indicator; when it is on it indicates that the alarm delay has been increased locally.
ON
Green LED indicator; when it is on it indicates that the power is on.
