About This Guide
This guide contains step-by-step instructions
for setting up the D-Link DCS-80-5/6 Outdoor
Power Box. Please note that the model you
have purchased may appear slightly different
from those shown in the illustrations.
This AC 24 V power supply is designed for
indoor and outdoor applications, and is ideal
for use with exterior-mounted dome cameras.
It can power one dome camera with a heater,
pan/tilt device, blower, and/or other systems.
The unit has one fused output and is capable
of handling total load of 72 V. For operation in
different regions, two versions are available:
AC 110-115 V power input and AC 220-230 V
power input.
The power box provides a protected enclosure
for water resistance and convenient alarm
board installation.
Unpacking the Product
Open the shipping carton and carefully unpack
its contents. Please consult the packing list
below to make sure all items are present
and undamaged. If any item is missing or
damaged, please contact your local D-Link
reseller for replacement.

- Installation and servicing should be carried
out only by a qualified technician and should
conform to all local codes and regulations.
- Do not install the power supply unit near
any heat sources such as radiators, heat
registers, stoves, or other devices (including
amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Please test the power source before
plugging it in and connecting it to the camera.

Using a power supply with an incorrect voltage or unstable voltage
- Remove the padding from the power box
before plugging it in.
- Only use any approved attachments and
accessories specified by this guide.
- Servicing is required when the device has
been damaged, such as when the unit has
been immersed in water, has been dropped,
or is otherwise malfunctioning.
