There are 2 different affiliation profiles used by cell phones: the Headset (HS) profile and the Handsfree (HF) profile. If possible,
verify in the compatibility table at www.nolan.it which profile is used by your cell phone. In any case, you can also try both profiles
to see which one works properly with your cell phone. The N-Com Bluetooth system supports both profiles, HS and HF.
The N-Com system is seen by the cell phone as a Bluetooth earphone. Please refer to the manual provided with your
Bluetooth cell phone, in the section Bluetooth devices affiliation, to verify the affiliation procedure as it varies from one cell
phone to the next.
Once you have learned the affiliation procedure for your cell phone, proceed to affiliation with the helmet.
1. Make sure the Bluetooth e-box is switched off.
2. Press middle key "on" and keep it pressed. After the first 3 seconds the e-box will turn on; continue pressing the key for
another 3 seconds, until the LEDs start to flash quickly and you hear a high buzz from the e-box, indicating the affiliation
acceptance phase. Now the helmet positions itself on the Headset (HS) affiliation mode.
2.1. In order to use the Handsfree (HF) profile, carry out the same operation as in item 2, but this time, after reaching the
affiliation mode, keep pressing the "on" key for an additional 3 seconds. You will then hear a second buzz and the
LEDs will start to flash even more quickly, indicating the HF affiliation mode.
3. While the helmet is in affiliation mode (HS or HF) carry out the search for Bluetooth devices according to the specific
procedure for your cell phone.
Note: In case you need to repeat the procedure, turn off the system and start again from item 1). Affiliation can be carried
out more than once without the risk of damaging the system.
4. The name N-Com HS (or HF, depending on the selected profile) will appear on the cell phone in the list of available
devices.
5. Select the N-Com HS (or HF) device on the cell phone.
6. When the cell phone asks for a password, enter the code 0000 (four times the number zero).
7. The helmet confirms that affiliation is complete through a buzz in the earphone and the LED now switches to slow flashing.
Note: In the event that the affiliation process was not successful, turn off the system and repeat the procedure from the
beginning. The affiliation procedure can be repeated several times without the risk of damaging the system.
8. Switch both the cell phone and the N-Com system off and then back on in order to memorize the affiliation data in the system.
In order to verify that the N-com system and the Bluetooth cell phone are connected, make a call to the cell phone
affiliated to the helmet.
Note: The affiliation data is stored in the helmet and in the cell phone even when the systems are switched off. Consequently,
this procedure needs to be carried out only once, unless you change the cell phone or the N-com system.
Caution:
Do not carry out the affiliation procedure while riding.
Note: If you connect a cell phone via cable to the Bluetooth Kit system, the cell phone has to be set on automatic answer.

5.2. Operation of the Handsfree (HF) profile

Some cell phones with HF profile require that the Bluetooth connection to the helmet be switched on, which can be done
by briefly pressing key "on". Please refer to the cell phone user manual for additional information. Once the connection is
made, it will no longer be possible to communicate with another helmet fitted with a Bluetooth Kit.
- To turn on the connection with the cell phone, press key "on" briefly.
- To turn off the connection with the cell phone, press keys " " and "
- To transfer an incoming call from the helmet to the cell phone ("Call transfer" function), press keys " " and "
same time for about 2 seconds.
