Limited Warranty Information

(For the U.S.A., Canada, and Mexico only)
The limited warranty set forth below is given by Esselte Corporation with respect to the Leitz Icon printer (the "Product"),
when purchased and used in the United States, Canada, or Mexico. The Product purchased with this limited warranty is
the only product to which this limited warranty applies.
Esselte warrants to the original end-user purchaser that the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship
under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.

What Does This Limited Warranty Cover?

This warranty covers any defects in your new Leitz Icon printer. If the product is defective and the problem is caused by
defects in manufacturing or workmanship, Esselte will replace it.

How Long Does the Coverage Last?

The warranty begins on the date of purchase and lasts for one (1) year. In case the retailer is unknown or the product was
purchased from an unregistered seller (e.g., via on-line auction channels), the warranty period is considered to have
started three months after the date of manufacturing indicated on the product or as derived from the serial number of the
product.

What Does This Limited Warranty Not Cover?

This warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or
normal wear and tear. Warranty repair or replacement by Esselte or its authorized reseller(s) does not extend the warranty
beyond the initial period from the date of shipment. Unauthorized customer alterations will void this warranty. This warranty
does not apply if the product has had its serial number altered or removed.

What Will Esselte Do?

Esselte will replace the defective product, at Esselte's expense, including any costs required to return the replacement
product to you. If the product to be replaced is no longer available, then Esselte will substitute a comparable product.
Disclaimer of Warranties. NO IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, APPLIES TO THE PRODUCT AFTER THE APPLICABLE PERIOD OF THE
EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, AND NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTY, EXCEPT AS
MENTIONED ABOVE, GIVEN BY ANY PERSON OR ENTITY WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT SHALL BIND ESSELTE
(SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE
LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU).
Limitation of Liability. TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ESSELTE BE
LIABLE FOR PERSONAL INJURY, OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA OR
INFORMATION, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF
OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT OR ANY THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE OR
APPLICATIONS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PRODUCT, HOWEVER CAUSED, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF
LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF ESSELTE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
SUCH DAMAGES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY, OR
OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. In no event shall
Esselte's total liability to you for all damages (other than as may be required by applicable law in cases involving personal
injury) exceed the amount of fifty dollars ($50.00). The foregoing limitations will apply even if the above stated remedy fails
of its essential purpose. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXTEND TO ANYONE OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL
PURCHASER OF THE PRODUCT, OR THE PERSON FOR WHOM IT WAS PURCHASED AS A GIFT, AND STATES YOUR
EXCLUSIVE REMEDY.
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
