Installation
(1)
Locate the cart in a safe location of the work area.
Do not locate this assembly where it will be exposed to direct heat sources above 250 °F. Failure to follow
this warning can cause assembly components to fail or malfunction, resulting in serious personal injury or
death.
(2)
Connect the air supply cylinders to the pigtails on the cart after securing the cylinders with the four
straps. Mate and align the velcro sections to prevent slippage.
Do not connect tool air supply to breathing air manifold. Contamination may exist and can result in serious
personal injury or death.
(3)
Make sure the bleeder valves are in the closed position.
(4)
Turn the regulator adjust counter-clockwise to a position of zero flow.
(5)
Test the system for leaks by opening the valve on one cylinder at a time. The low pressure warning
alarm will sound until it sets itself at about 1000 psig. Check pressure on the regulator gauge to assure
the cylinder is full. Close the cylinder valve and bleed the inlet manifold pressure down by adjusting
the regulator to a slow flow. Test the second cylinder in the same manor. Correct any leaks in the
system.
(6)
Test the low pressure alarm. Slowly bleed the system pressure down and note at what pressure the
low pressure alarm activates. It should sound at approximately 500 psig.
(7)
Connect NIOSH-approved airline respirators to the outlet fittings as required per the respirator
instructions. Stop off any unused outlets. Adjust the regulator to the proper air pressure designated in
the respirator instructions. Turn the regulator knob clockwise to increase pressure and counter-
clockwise to reduce pressure.
Tighten all o-ring connections with tools.
