4.0 How to configure the A-Pool System GSM Modem (Only for CONNECT version)
Here is described the simple procedure to install the connecting device of Your A-Pool
System.
ADGSM modem and the one already assembled on the panel are supplied without SIM card,
to allow the comunication it must be purchased for each modem a SIM CARD with
predisposition to DATA trasmission (special DATA number, not Voice or FAX one).
It can be used both contract and rechargable pre-payed cards, anyway it is necessary that
the card is enabled for DATA Trasmission (to be required at first purchase to the supplier of
SIM Card).
If a rechargable pre-payed cards is used it is recommended to charge a minimum fee (the
cost of each connection depends by the condition of SIM supplier, but is similar to a
standard mobile comunication)
During SIM Card installation is recommended to keep the pump on the panel switched off.
Once you got the SIM card with Data trasmission abilitation proceed as follow:

Remouve PIN code request using a mobile phone (if necessary follow the procedure
described on the mobile phone instruction manual)

Insert the SIM card in the Modem Slot

Connect the antenna and the RS232 cable to the modem (if not yet connected)

Power on the Modem

Once powered the Modem searchs for GSM signal, during search the led on the modem
flashes once per seconds (fast flashing)

A soon as the Modem receives GSM signal the led stars to flash slowly (1 flash every 4
seconds), now the Modem is ready for connection. If the slow flashing does not appear,
please verify the GSM signal near the panel (upon request it can be supplied antenna
extensions)

Once the Modem receives the signal, the pump on the panel can be switched on.

5.0 Electrode winter break

It's better to work the pump with tap water to clean the pipe and avoid
chemical attack during rest.
Remove the pH electrodes during winter break. Fill in the protection cap
with 1/3 of water and put it on the electrode.

6.0 Maintanance and Coming season start-up procedures

- It's recommended to install a new electrode when season begin, in
order to prevent failure during season.
- After the electrode replacement or start up of the apparatus, repeat the
calibration procedure.
- After some months of not use (or just when the Cu electrode is dirty) it
is recommended to clean the Cu electrode with HCl 10% Acid solution, it
will encrease the life of Pt-Cu electrode. To clean the Cu electrode, close
the probe holder inlet water then fill the probe holder near the Cu from
the top with HCl 10% acid solution, let the acid work for few minutes,
then let water pass thought the probe holder. After each cleaning
proceed with Pt-Cu calibration. If the Cu electrode is too ohxidated it is
recommended to clean it manually, for hard cleaning procedure please
contact our Commercial office.
