SETUP
PLEASE REFER TO THE EXPLODED VIEW DRAWING IN THIS MANUAL IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY PARTS.
1. Unscrew the index #45 bolt in the index #69 handle fork. Insert the index #57 handle tube in the index #69 handle fork while
simultaneously inserting the index #68 locking rod in the handle yoke guide holes and into one of the three locking hole
positions. Make sure the release valve linkage in the handle fork receives the index #55 rod located inside the handle tube.
Secure the handle tube inside the handle fork by tightening the index #45 handle yoke bolt.
2. Install the air fitting that is most commonly used in your shop into the index #73 air valve and connect the shop's air line to
the fitting.
3. Sometimes air gets trapped in the jack during shipment or handling. An air trapped jack does not pump normally and the ram
raises extremely slow or not at all. Another symptom would be the ram pulsating instead of gradually and consistently rising.
PURGING AIR FROM THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM:
a. Make sure the rams are fully retracted.
b. Turn the release knob, #51, at the top of the T handle in a counterclockwise direction two full turns from its closed position.
Depress the jack's air valve for 30 seconds.
c. Close the release valve knob, #51, by turning it clockwise until tight. Depress the air valve and raise the ram
to maximum extension.
d. If the condition seems better, repeat steps "a" through "c" until all the air has been vented from the system.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This is the safety alert symbol used for the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS section of this manual to alert you to potential
personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
1. Review the work to be done. Sometimes the full stroke of the jack will not be long enough to lift the load. The ram's extension
screw can be extended in order to save pump stroke to lift a load.
2. Visual inspection should be made before each use of the jack, checking for abnormal conditions such as damaged, loose or
missing parts. Each jack must be inspected by a manufacturer's repair facility immediately, if subjected to an abnormal load
or shock. Any jack which appears to be damaged in any way, is found to be badly worn, or operates abnormally MUST BE
REMOVED FROM SERVICE until necessary repairs are made by a manufacturer's authorized repair facility. It is recommended that
an annual inspection of the jack be made by a manufacturer's authorized repair facility and that any defective parts, decals or
warning labels be replaced with manufacturer's specified parts. A list of authorized repair facilities is available from the
manufacturer.
3. Do not lift more than one wheel of a vehicle at a time. The wheel directly across from the one being lifted should be chocked in
both directions. Consult the vehicle manufacturer for the proper lift procedure and lift points.
4. Position the jack at the appropriate lift point. Turn the release valve knob in a clockwise direction until tight. Depress the jack's air
valve until the jack's saddle comes close to the lift point. Make sure the lift point is free from grease, any kind of lubricant or
debris. Make sure the set up is safe before raising the vehicle to the desired work height.
5. After the vehicle is raised to the desired work height, adjust the support columns on two stands to the required height and
position them under the required vehicle support positions. Turn the release valve knob very slowly so the vehicle gently lowers
and rests on the jack stands.
6. After work is done, close the release valve knob by turning it all the way clockwise until it stops. Depress the air valve to lift the
vehicle until the vehicle clears the stands. Remove the stands away from the vehicle and slowly and gently turn the release valve
knob in a counterclockwise direction to lower the vehicle to the ground.
