points are gastight, open the cylinder valve by turning
anticlockwise.
• Firstly depress the rotary knob for temperature control
and subsequently turn anticlockwise to the high fl ame
setting (marking) before igniting the gas immediately
afterwards at the crosswise positioned perforated tube on
the left-hand side using a match or a PIEZO gas lighter.
Warning!
In order to avoid accumulation of gas in the grill chamber
and a resulting risk of burns due to defl agration, the
gas controller should be opened and the burner ignited
immediately in sequence.
After ignition, it is necessary to check whether all the
fl ame rows of the burner are ignited. Once you have
fi nished grilling, in order to shut the unit down fi rstly
close the temperature setting device by turning clockwise
(marking) before closing the cylinder valve.
In addition, the following points must be observed:
• keep fl ammable materials away
• the gas cylinder must be set up at a min. distance of
500 mm from the unit
• the gas cylinder must be protected from temperature
increases; it must not be exposed to more than 50°C
• the gas hose must not come into contact with hot
parts, must be free of tension and kinks and must not
exceed a length of 1.5 m
• porous or damaged gas hoses must be replaced
• modifi cations to the nozzle, the injector or the burner
are not allowed
• keep children and pets away from the grill when grilling
is in progress
Warning! The accessible parts may be very hot.
• it is recommended to use protective gloves when
working on hot components
Please observe the following instructions when
setting up gas cylinders:
The gas cylinders must not be set up in rooms below
ground level, since the liquid gas is heavier than air
and dangerous gas accumulations occur under certain
circumstances.
Only change the gas cylinder well away from any
sources of ignition!
When storing empty and full gas cylinders, it must
be ensured that:
• the cylinder is kept upright
• the valves are fi tted with valve protection caps and
locking nuts
Procedure in case of malfunction
• in case of malfunction, close the cylinder or isolating
valve insofar as possible
• repairs to gas engineering components of the unit
must only be performed by specialists
• the unit may only be operated again after all
malfunctions have been eliminated
Before operating the unit again, a sealing test of
all gas carrying components must be performed in
all cases
Caring for the unit
Clean the unit after use with a mild cleaning product.
When cleaning the gas burner, ensure that the gas
outlet orifi ces are not blocked. Never immerse the gas
burner in water and do not use any scouring products
for cleaning.

damage during assembly and transport, some parts are
covered with plastic fi lm.
Please remove the protective fi lm from the parts before
using the unit for the fi rst time!
Please note:
During the grilling process, a slight whooshing noise
can be heard, caused by the gas fl ow. This is completely
harmless and does not indicate any malfunction.
Any smoke emission on using the unit for the fi rst time
may be attributed to burnt residues of machine grease
and will cease after a short while.
Owing to the major effect of heat of the gas burner,
brownish discoloration on the burner cover and the gas
burner will inevitably occur. This does not however affect
the function or the quality of the material in any way.
