Mark the Wall Jambs

IMPORTANT! The wall jamb must sit flat on the threshold. If your threshold has a
curve in the corners at the side wall, it may be necessary to shape the bottom end of
the wall jamb with a file.
NOTE: If tapered wall jambs are used, the tapered area should be located on the
threshold, with the taper against the wall. If straight wall jambs are used, the longer
leg should be toward the outside of the shower.
IMPORTANT! Straight wall jambs are notched and fit directly over the top of the
bottom track. Tapered wall jambs are not notched, and sit on the threshold with the
bottom track located between the two wall jambs.
Position a wall jamb against the wall, on (straight wall jamb) or next to (tapered
wall jamb) the bottom track.
Use a level to plumb the wall jamb vertically.
Temporarily secure the wall jamb to the wall with masking tape.
Repeat the procedures with the second wall jamb.
Confirm Correct Positioning
Measure from the front edge of each wall jamb to the front edge of the threshold
and confirm the front edges of the wall jambs are the same distance from the front
edge of the threshold. Adjust as needed.
Recheck both jambs for plumb.
If the jambs are not plumb or not correctly positioned, adjust as needed.
If an adjustment was made, secure with masking tape.
