kNOWING YOUR CHAIN SAW
Speed Selector (9-FIG 6)
The chain saw can be running at two speeds. To select the speed, slide
the speed selector (9) forward for fast speed, backward for slow speed.
See FIG 7.
NOTE:
Using the saw with slow speed only reduces the chain speed
not the cutting power of the saw.
Low Kickback Saw Chain (1-FIG 6)
The low kickback saw chain helps minimize the force of a kickback
reaction by preventing the cutters from digging in too deeply at the
kickback zone.
Chain Catcher (16-FIG 6)
The chain catcher is designed to catch the chain if it snaps or jumps off. This should not happen if the chain is properly
tensioned and if the bar and chain are properly serviced and maintained.
