Notes
Use only those distributors that contain no diodes (EBC 110 or EBC 114).
The necessary diode protection is provided by sockets in the ESU series.
Particular care should be taken to assign each subscriber frequency (UB)
to only a single receiver, otherwise the receivers will generate mutual inter-
ference.
The frequencies are allocated on the receiver's setting menu.
Depending on the type, this assignment may be manual or automatic.
It is recommended to assign those outlets with the shorter length connec-
tions to the higher frequencies. By definition, the system is designed so
that single cable devices are supplied with 14 V DC.
The power supply is briefly switched to 18 V DC if control signals similar
to DiSEqC™ have to be transmitted. Continuous application of 18 V would
block the system. For this reason we recommend the use of sockets in the
ESU series, which are equipped for switching off electronically.
Receivers that are connected must be configured for single cable opera-
tion to EN 50494 or to the new SCD2 cable standard to EN 50607.
Unused RF connections must be terminated with 75-Ω resistors
(such as EMK 03).
If the EXE 256 is used as the final multi-switch, the H low and V low trunks
must be terminated with terminating resistor with DC blocking (EMK 05).
