Remove driver side underbody panel- Using a flat head screwdriver remove (3) plastic rivets from the plastic panel near wheel well on driver side. Using a 11 mm socket remove (1) hex
nut from forward side of the same panel. Using 10 mm socket to remove other (2) hex nuts from the same panel. Remove the panel.
2.
Lower muffler – Using an exhaust hanger removal tool, lower muffler by removing (1) rearmost rubber hanger and (1) forward rubber hanger. A spray of lubricant or soapy water on
rubber hangers makes them slide off metal pins more easily. NOTE: Be sure that exhaust is properly supported before removing rubber hangers.
NOTE: The rearmost rubber hanger needs to be completely removed from muffler to allow clearance to install hitch.

Remove lower fascia – a.) using a Philips screwdriver, remove (2) screws located at each end of lower fascia, (1) per side. Using a flat head screwdriver, b.) remove (5) plastic rivets from
outside of that lower fascia and c.) remove (3) plastic push-pin rivets from inside-bottom edge of lower fascia. d.) On outside of lower fascia, pull down on fascia clips to release the
lower fascia from upper fascia while gently pulling outward.

Remove fascia support plastic brackets- Use Philips head screwdriver to remove (3) screws from three center plastic brackets and remove the brackets from vehicle. Return the
brackets to vehicle owner.
5.
Install hitch – Raise hitch into position. Using fastener kit hardware, loosely install the M10 bolts and conical toothed washers as shown. See Figure 1. NOTE: It may be necessary to
clean debris from existing weldnuts in frame using a wire brush or compressed air.
6.
Tighten all M10x1.25x40 CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 71 ft -lb (96 N*m).
7.
Trim lower fascia – Using a tape measure, marker, and utility knife, measure, mark, and trim the lower fascia. See Figure 2.
8.
Reinstall the lower fascia - Aligning tabs in lower fascia with upper fascia. Reinstall the (2) Philips screws at outer ends of fascia, (1) per side and (5) plastic rivets.
9.
Install cable ties - Using (2) cable ties provided, secure lower fascia to hitch cross tube by inserting cable tie through the three outer fascia push-pin rivet attachment points and around
hitch cross tube (see figure-3).
10. Raise muffler back into position- Reattach all rubber hangers removed in step 2. Remove the support for the exhaust.
11. Reinstall underbody panels- Using (3) push pin rivets and (3) hex nuts removed in step 1, both sides.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which
has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety
specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
