7. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Correct and safe operation of the NOVAFON sound wave device can
only be ensured if NOVAFON accessories are used. Before starting to
use the device, please read the user manual and these safety instructions
carefully and strictly follow them.
Warning: Do not modify this device without the manufacturer's prior
consent.
• Handle the device carefully.
• Always store the device in a dry and clean location.
• Before each use, check the device for any signs of damage or wear.
• Do not use the device and have it repaired by the customer service if
any of the following conditions occur:
> if the power cable or plug is damaged.
> if the device fails to work correctly.
> if the device is damaged.
> if the device exhibits safety-related problems.
• Use an extension cord if the distance to the power outlet is over 3 m.
• Before connecting the device to the power source, check that the
mains voltage corresponds to the voltage specification on the trans-
former. Connect the device only to a power source that delivers the
correct voltage.
• To disconnect the device, unplug the power plug from the
power outlet. Never pull the cable.
• Never leave the device unattended when it is turned on.
• Do not use the device and transformer for over 20 minutes per
application. Leave it to cool down for at least 15 minutes before
you continue.
• Avoid any contact of the power cable with hot surfaces.
• Never use the device when taking a shower or bath or in an
explosive atmosphere.
• Never place the device into water or other liquids.
• Protect the device and transformer from impact and shocks.
• During treatment, only hold the handle or (extended) extension
handle of the device.
• Wireless communication devices (e.g. WiFi stations, mobile
phones, cordless phones and their base stations) may interfere
with the sound wave devices and should be kept at a minimum
distance of 1.6 m during treatment.
• Keep the device out of the reach of children.
• When using the device, bear in mind that the cable may cause a
strangulation hazard.
